Two moons, side by side, and the one number that matters: whether the lit parts add up to a whole.

It adds the lit fraction of the first date to the lit fraction of the second. Two dates a fortnight apart tend to land near one whole moon, because a waxing crescent and a waning gibbous are opposite sides of the same cycle. Two dates in the same week rarely do.
It is a shape, not a forecast. The moon does not know either of you.
